First Post!

Yo what's up!
(Be aware that there will be spoilers in these posts.)
I'm a freshly new One Piece fan and to be honest, it's one of the greatest fuckin' works of art of our time! Sure, Dragonball Z set the standard bar high and influenced the big three (Naruto, Bleach, One Piece) but out of those three, One Piece was the one that set the bar higher than DBZ.

Never have I believed such bonds and loyalty between characters. Naruto and Sasuke's relationship has been shown to be a one-sided, almost obsessive bond from Naruto to Sasuke and the reception of their bond has been fairly negative from the naruto fandom. One Piece on the other hand has consistently shown powerful bonds between the crewmates aboard the Thousand Sunny (and Going Merry, of course). For example, Zoro was determined to give his life in exchange for Luffy's.

Another example that hit me hard was Usopp's speech to Luffy against Rob Lucci, of the CP9, during Enies Lobby.

Usopp didn't EVER lose hope in Luffy. And when the going got tough, he made sure Luffy got tougher because he knew he could beat Lucci.

Now, that my friends, is true friendship.

And I hope we can forge a similar friensship in the future, so enjoy my blog about One Piece and maybe even some other worthy shonen anime/manga
